A few notes on this week’s menu…

SUNDAY:  We are in the midst of a “heatwave” here in the Bay area and all cooking is being done on the grill.  These pork tenderloins cook up quickly and, when paired with a refreshing “slaw”,  make for a wonderful Sunday dinner in the sultry heat.

MONDAY:  Max’s team advanced in the LL All-Star series this weekend, defeating their opposing team 9-8 after 11 innings in a game that ran for 4 hours and 20 minutes {in 100+ heat} on Saturday.  The final game of the play-offs is tonight on Treasure Island in San Francisco…keep your fingers crossed!

TUESDAY:  Win or lose, we need a low-key evening at home.  After  dinner we will walk down to the “beach” below our home and watch the seals playing in the Bay before heading into town for some ice cream.


WEDNESDAY:  These easy chicken wings are the perfect kick-off to our holiday weekend…sweet, spicy & grilled!  A fruit salad made with nectarines and raspberries with fresh mint rounds out this simple meal.


THURSDAY:  FOURTH OF JULY!  We will be enjoying the holiday festivities on a boat with friends, watching the fireworks from Oakland, San Francisco & Sausalito, bobbing on the waters of the Bay.  I hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday!

FRIDAY:  Roasting tomatoes and garlic really brings out stunning flavor in these little gems and adding some torn basil from the garden with a splash of cream and a sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan cheese makes for a wonderful summer pasta.
