A few notes on this week’s menu…

SUNDAY:  I am off at the crack of dawn to go and pick up Maddie and the horses from the show in Woodside.  After trailering back to the ranch, we will all sit down to a feast of succulent ragú {which I prepared yesterday} served with fresh pappardelle pasta and topped with a gremolata.

MONDAY:  The classic combination of tomato soup and tuna salad sandwiches tastes even better when everything is made from scratch…

TUESDAY:  This dinner is for Mallory…her favorite food, creamy mac and cheese, is homemade tonight…and served with a crisp spinach salad with green apples.

WEDNESDAY:  After a few days of Indian Summer, with temperatures in the upper 80’s, we are expecting a cool down today {high temps in the 60’s}.  I am feeling brave and I am going to tackle a Thomas Keller recipe for roast chicken.  This recipe produces a lovely herb pan sauce that will dress not only the meat but creamy mashed potatoes and peas as well.

THURSDAY:  The left-over chicken meat from last night’s dinner will be turned into this lovely dinner salad ~ Chopped Chicken Salad with Tomato-Buttermilk Dressing


FRIDAY:  Hearty meatballs will be served over spaghetti squash “noodles”, accompanied by this Basil-Casesar Salad
